The Opportunity

Saber Astronautics is expanding rapidly, alongside a booming space industry. Take the opportunity to make your impact today! We’re looking to hire an office manager with a side of HR duties. You’ll be working with some of the best and brightest in the space industry, no ideas are too big, no jobs too small. See your ideas come to life!

You’ll work in leafy Chippendale, public transport within a 5 minute walk, quick access to restaurants and cafes in Chippendale, Central Park and Spice Alley, with a bakery/cafe making famous sourdough and coffee just seconds away from our front door. Skills Desired

The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years experience within a similar role, or in client-facing or customer service related industry. Your proactive and innovative nature will get you far in this company, with opportunities to grow within the team! You must be welcoming, organised and switched on, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills. We are looking for a polished, confident individual, with proficiency in the Office suite. A passion for space is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for general enquiries, external stakeholders and occasional visitors
  • Maintaining the work environment, kitchen and office supplies, liaising with contractors and suppliers, liaising with teams for maintenance and repairs and other ad hoc admin
  • General HR, creating job descriptions, contracts, reference checks and initial screening
  • Supporting event planning and coordination
  • Support tenders/grants submissions
  • Expense management; travel, petty cash, purchasing, working alongside our accountants
  • Diary management, including booking meetings and travel arrangements

Requirements

Due to the nature of the space industry, only Australian citizens are eligible for this role.

Remuneration

Remuneration is a competitive package based upon experience and skill set.
