Adelaide, Australia -- Saber Astronautics’ Responsive Space Operations Centre (RSOC) Program is expanding with a new partner, ATLAS Space Operations, offering more choice and access in satellite communications for Saber’s customers.

The RSOC is Saber’s mission control program offering satellite operations and traffic support. With several mission control centers based in Australia and Colorado, the RSOC provides a global “follow-the-sun” service for large numbers of satellites. The service includes an open marketplace for satellite communications giving satellite owners the ability to select a service that scales to their needs.

Saber Astronautics’ CEO Dr. Jason Held says “We’re delighted to add ATLAS Space Operations to the RSOC family. Atlas has an exceptional reputation in the SATCOM community, I can’t wait to work with them in upcoming missions.”

This partnership will add ATLAS’ global antenna network of over 30 antennas into Saber’s RSOC program. With strategically positioned ground antenna stations throughout the world, ATLAS’ global network allows operators to transmit and receive data from their satellites when and where needed. ATLAS joins a wide range of RSOC’s commercial space providers in support of client missions, bringing the RSOC to over 160 dishes available in the network.

ATLAS Space Operations Vice President of Commercial Sales Matt Schmidt shares, “We appreciate the opportunity to be recognized as a partner in Saber’s comprehensive satellite operation services portfolio. This partnership is a building block to creating a strong ecosystem surrounding mission operations and communications - and we’re looking forward to building that with Saber.”

Saber Astronautics owns and operates mission control centres in Adelaide, Australia and Boulder, Colorado, USA as part of their RSOC program offering full-service mission operations, from mission design, hardware integration and mission operations, space situational awareness and responsible deorbiting.
