Space Engineer (Astrodynamics & Software)

We're looking for a mid-career Space Engineer with strong astrodynamics and software experience to join our team. You'll help design and implement spacecraft operations tools and software for multi-tonne satellites, constellations, and stations for Saber's Responsive Space Operations Centre (RSOC).
What you'll do
- Develop and maintain orbital mechanics and astrodynamics algorithms (propagation, maneuver planning, trajectory design, rendezvous analysis)
- Support mission analysis and trajectory optimization
- Contribute to Saber's core flight dynamics and mission platforms
- Write robust, test-driven code (Python, C#, C++), collaborate with engineers and operators, support telemetry analysis and integration with ground systems
What we're looking for
- Citizen of Australia, New Zealand, UK, USA, or Canada
- Bachelor's / Master's in Astrodynamics, Space Engineering, or Applied Mathematics
- 5-10 years of experience in space engineering software roles
- Strong background in orbit determination, propagation models, maneuver planning, and algorithm optimization
- Solid coding skills with Agile and CI/CD experience (Bitbucket, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.) and demonstrated ability to write efficient code for complex problems

- Simulation of both high-thrust and low-thrust environments
- Exposure to AWS/Kubernetes/Docker; ground systems integration; and Unity or other modern 3D graphics engine
