Sydney, Australia -- Saber Astronautics is delighted to announce Infostellar as the newest member of the SATCOM marketplace. The addition of Infostellar’s satellite ground station network is set to bolster Saber Astronautics' award winning Responsive Space Operations Centre™ (RSOC) program.
The RSOC is Saber’s mission control program offering spaceflight operations and traffic support. With mission control centers based in Australia and Colorado, the RSOC provides a global “follow-the-sun” service to operate satellites. The service includes an open marketplace for satellite communications (SATCOM), giving satellite owners the ability to select a service that scales to their needs.
Infostellar offers a global network of satellite ground stations for space-based applications, including satellite downlinks for remote sensing and space science applications, satellite uplink for spacecraft commanding operations, and real-time TT&C (Telemetry, Tracking & Control) services for spacecraft health and welfare operations. Their RF bands include S-Band, X-band, and Ka-band services. This is complemented with a global terrestrial backbone, allowing quick and efficient delivery of customer payload data.
The partnership will expand the operational reach of satellite communications, serving a diverse clientele across defense, commercial, and research sectors. Infostellar joins a wide range of RSOC’s commercial space providers in support of client missions, adding to the approximately 250 dishes already part of Saber’s large network.
Dr. Jason Held, CEO of Saber Astronautics, shared his enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, “We are delighted to welcome Infostellar to the RSOC program and our SATCOM marketplace. The addition of their satellite ground station network will strengthen our satellite operations services. I greatly look forward to further collaborations with the Japanese space ecosystem!”
Naomi Kurahra, CEO of Infostellar, added, “We are excited to partner with Saber Astronautics and to join their RSOC Program and SATCOM Marketplace. Adding Infostellar’s Ground Station Network will enable a new generation of satellite operators to access Infostellar’s unique and innovative cloud-based satellite ground segment services solution based on Infostellar’s proprietary StellarStation™ platform and complementing Saber Astronautics’ satellite operations.”
