Saber Astronautics is pleased to welcome HEMERIA as the newest supplier in Saber’s Responsive Space Operations Centre® (RSOC) SDA marketplace. HEMERIA will make its space surveillance data available through the RSOC SDA Marketplace, expanding the range of independent commercial data sources available to satellite operators, governments and defence organisations.
The RSOC is Saber Astronautics’ mission operations and space traffic support program. With sites in the United States and Australia, the RSOC provides global, follow-the-sun operations for civil and defence flights. Its SDA Marketplace connects customers with a network of commercial sensor and data providers.
The US RSOC, based in Colorado, produces the Space Battle Management System® (SBMS) which is used across US Space Force Combat Commands. The Australian RSOC, co-located at the Australian Space Agency HQ in Adelaide, served as the Pacific night shift for US Space Command’s Joint Commercial Operations for nearly 4-years. The RSOC also flies commercial satellites, roughly 42 tons in orbit today.
HEMERIA provides Low Earth Orbit space situational awareness data using ground-based radars. Its service is based on its growing network of SYRAH radars, survey radars based on the same technology as GRAVES, the French Air Force radar, heritage from the ONERA (the French Aerospace Lab). This capability allows HEMERIA to maintain an independent catalogue of more than 15,000 objects and generate over 200,000 measurements each day, supporting active satellite and debris monitoring.
Adding HEMERIA strengthens the RSOC with European sensor coverage and adds a new source of high-volume radar observations.
